1 Is NEET compulsory for private medical colleges also? Yes, Qualifying for NEET is mandatory to gain admission to both government and Private Medical colleges.
2 How many times one can attempt NEET? There is no limit on the number of attempts in NEET
3 Is there any age limit for NEET? The minimum age of students appearing for NEET should be 17 years while there is no upper age limit.
4 Is an Abroad MBBS degree valid in India? Yes, if you have studied at an NMC-approved College/university from a foreign country then you are eligible to sit for FMGE which is mandatory to pass to practice as a doctor in India.
5 . How many times does FMGE take place in a year? FMGE is conducted twice a year in June and December
6 Is it possible to study MBBS Abroad without NEET? Students who have not qualified for NEET are not eligible to practice in India as a doctor and their degree won't be valid in India. Some countries offer admission to MBBS courses without NEET so you can take admission if you have no plan to return to India and practice as a doctor.
7 Is taking 4-5 drops to prepare for NEET okay? Usually, students in India take drops to prepare for NEET which is fine like 1 or 2 drops as competition is very high and seat availability is very low in India so it's not always possible for everyone to grab opportunities in the first go. But this is also a fact that the duration of almost all medical courses is long and if students will invest so much time in just an entrance exam when will they complete their degree? 8 Can we study MBBS in a private medical college in low budget? Private medical colleges' fees in India start at around 80 lacs, and not every student can afford to pay such a high amount as most students are from middle-class backgrounds. However, students have the option to study MBBS Abroad. Fee of private medical colleges Abroad are much lower than Indian private medical colleges. 9 How much time is enough for NEET preparation? No time is fixed for NEET preparation or any other competitive exam it varies from student to student as not every child is same. Methods of preparation, learning time, strategy, study plan, productive hours, etc. of every child are different. However, 5-6 months is more than enough to complete the whole syllabus of NEET and revise it properly.
10 How many marks are needed in 12th for NEET? General category students need to score a minimum of aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined. Meanwhile, candidates from SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories should secure a minimum of 40% marks in these subjects.
